celebrating the richness of reading, scientific outreach and the arts
DOn April 28-30, 2025, Anáhuac University Mexico held the event El papel de las letras, Organized by the Library as part of International Book Day. For three days, the North and South campuses became meeting places for readers, authors, and creators, with activities that highlighted the value of books as a bridge between cultures, generations, and knowledge.

The official inauguration was led by Dr. Cipriano Sánchez García, L.C., Rector of the University.
The presentation of the book "Towards Plenitude," with a dialogue on hope and spiritual literature, featuring Isabel Ruiloba de Fernández, Father Emilio Díaz Torre, LC, and the author himself, Father Cipriano Sánchez García, LC.
Keynote lecture by Dr. Jaime Labastida Ochoa on Alexander von Humboldt.
Craft bookbinding workshops, exhibitions such as Anáhuac Comics, and discussions such as Alice in the Land of Multiverses, featuring Carlos Lepe, Miguel de la Cruz, and Flavio Vera, moderated by Alma Cázares Ruiz, who explored the links between fantasy literature, science, and philosophy.
The Literary Picnic, which brought reading to the university esplanades.
Meetings with authors and readings aloud, more than 40 members of the university community shared readings and literary recommendations based on the fascinating world of fantasy and science fiction. This event featured an artistic presentation by the School of Arts and guitarist Saúl Esquer.
This event reaffirmed the transformative power of books and their central role in comprehensive education. It was a vibrant celebration of the word that sparked new ideas and projects within the university community.
